Can a Summer of Big Questions Push Students to College?

Hechinger Report

Matt Krupnick of the Hechinger Report visited Columbia University to watch our Freedom & Citizenship high school students in action as they engaged in debate on the "great books" and society in which they live. He sat down with Roosevelt Montás, Freedom & Citizenship instructor and Director of Columbia's Core Curriculum, along with several students from the program, to understand the impact that critical thinking and writing have on students from underserved communities in Manhattan.
