Lisa Carnoy is the division executive for the Northeast for U.S. Trust, the private bank within Bank of America. In addition, she is Bank of America’s market president for New York City and services on the Global Wealth & Investment Management leadership team, as well as Bank of America’s Operating Committee.
In her executive roles, Lisa is responsible for driving growth and enhancing collaboration across the firm. She is the primary driver for identifying and driving new opportunities across the Global Wealth & Investment Management and Global Banking & Markets businesses.
Prior to her move to Global Wealth & Investment Management, Lisa served as head of global capital markets for Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2010 to 2014 and was a member of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Operating Committee. In this role, she led capital markets professionals across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance and Origination of Corporate Derivatives, and FX across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and emerging markets.
Lisa earned a B.A. cum laude in history and American studies from Columbia and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In 2010, Lisa became a trustee of Columbia University, where she chairs the Alumni Affairs and Development Committee. Lisa served as a Campaign Committee co-chair of the $6 Billion Columbia Campaign. Lisa is currently co-chair of Columbia College’s Core to Commencement Campaign, a co-founder of the Women’s Leadership Council for Athletics, and a member of the Athletics Leadership Committee. For several years, Lisa participated as a board member for the Columbia College Alumni Association and Board of Visitors. She won the University Alumni Medal in 2000 and Columbia College’s John Jay Award in 2007.
In 2015, Lisa joined the boards of United Way of New York City and the Rodeph Sholom School. In 2012 and 2013, Lisa was named to American Banker’s list of “Most Powerful Women in Finance,” and in 2013 she received the Merit Award from the Women’s Bond Club.
