Now every Tuesday at 12 pm in Hamilton 319, the Center for American Studies will host off-the-record conversations with experts on current events at informal sessions for your information (and hopefully enjoyment) this spring semester. Sam Thielman will be coordinating the sessions and looking for topics and experts — He's been a writer and editor for a little over twenty years at places like the Times, the Guardian, and the Columbia Journalism Review, so he'll be asking a lot of my sources to come in and talk to students. Prof. Jeremy Dauber, the Center’s director, will be kicking off the discussions, but we hope you'll come and participate. This won't be a lecture or a seminar; it will be just students and someone we think students will find interesting, and it will be completely off the record.
American Studies Majors will get priority if we exceed capacity, but this semester it's open to all.
